After our successful show for Globe Telecom in Athens, Greece, Eric Santos and our friends convinced me to join them in Santorini.

I was hesitant at first because my husband and my children wer
e not with me. I was feeling guilty. If Emil had not suggested that I should go and enjoy Santorini with my friends because I might not get that chance anymore in my lifetime, I would not have joined. I so thank my husband for convincing me.

I only stayed for two days and went home to join my family in Dio Island in Tacloban on Maundy Thursday with our family friends, Mayor Alfred and Cristina (Gonzales) Romualdez.

An hour flight from Athens, Santorini—which is still part of Greece—is essentially what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion, which destroyed homes and settlements on what was formerly a single island. In short para siyang pina-sosyal na Tagaytay.

Kung mukha siyang pamilyar, dito nag-shooting sina KC Concepcion at Richard Gutierrez ng kanilang pelikula na For the First Time. Sobra ako na-in-love sa cinematography ng pelikulang ito that was shot by my best friend Shayne Sarte. Sinabi ko sa sarili ko, pupunta ako diyan. And the power of the spoken word has revealed itself again.

Sobrang bait si Eric Santos. Siya yung tipong puwede mo makasama sa loob ng kuwarto at hindi siya magte-take advantage sa friendship ninyo. Pero mura lang naman yung kwarto, 15 Euro, so we could afford to have a solo room for ourselves.

Marami na ako nakasama na superstars, diva at sikat na mga artista sa ibang bansa, pero mapa-babae o mapa-lalake, I think I rate Eric the best in terms of attitude and personality.

Although Piolo Pascual will still be the perfect gentleman, and Sam Milby will be the humblest guy I have known, Bayani Agbayani—the funniest, Bugoy—the most inquisitive, Cesar Montano—the most creative, Sharon Cuneta—the smartest (I can’t think of a smart guy, hahaha! I’m bad), Eric is a mix of all of these attributes—a humble, talented, inqusitive, and smart gentleman with a great sense of humor. Not to mention adventurous as he is currently backpacking around Europe as you read this blog entry.

So to all of the PEPsters in Europe who get to see Eric, please extend your hospitality as the kid is on his own. This is his graduation gift to himself as he finished college inspite of a hectic schedule and a fantabulous career. Go, go, go Eric!
