He sang 3 beautiful songs from his album, “Valentine”, “My Love Is Here”, and “If I Just Believed”. “Miss You Like Crazy” was in his repertoire. Erik Santos: A Man Of Substance

Nothing can really stop the country’s “Prince Of Pop” from achieving the greatest height in his life. Just recently, the music royalty has been conferred with the Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the Centro Escolar University’s commencement ceremonies held on April 13 at the Manila Hotel.

A moment indeed! After days of mind bugling routine for school and sleepless nights of preparing for thesis and exams, the efforts have already borne its fruit. It’s now time to fly! As Erik comes up the stage his colleagues can’t help but show their appreciation for the “Star In A Million” champion.

“Before the ceremony, we were instructed not to clap,” the singer recalled. “Pero ’di nakapagpigil ang lahat, they clapped hard for me. I guess my schoolmates saw that in spite of my busy schedule, I still managed to graduate. I think, in a way, I inspired them with my story,” he said.

Despite his busy schedule, the pop icon still managed to find balance between his singing career and schooling. Erik Santos believes that the showbiz stardom and lime light will definitely fade but the dignity of having a college degree is something that nobody can take away.

Erik is now an icon worthy of emulation by his peers and by the youth in general. He is a living proof that dreams do really come true. Far more than his jam-packed performances and thousands of albums consumed, Erik has considered education as the foundation of his career.

Equipped with nice demeanor, extraordinary voice, heartthrob looks and intelligence, Erik Santos deserves to be addressed as a man of substance. Long live the Prince of Pop!
