US Embassy brings ‘America in 3D’

THE United States (US) Embassy is bringing America in 3D to Cebu City starting today until Sunday.

This program will highlight American culture, values, and services in the Philippines.

US Ambassador to the Philippines Harry K. Thomas Jr. will lead the opening of the three-day extravaganza at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu.

After the successful staging of America in 3D in Manila and Baguio, residents of Cebu City and the province will get a chance to participate in free, fun-filled events such as musical performances, dance workshops, sports clinics, food samplings, academic advising and learning about visa application.

Representatives from two American companies, Accenture and Lexmark, will also be there to accept resume’s for careers in their companies.

Participants will have the chance to see the performances of the US Navy’s 7th Fleet Band, The Orient Express; Manila Blues Experiment featuring Kat Agarrado of Sinosikat; DanceSport Team Cebu City; Hip Hop dance group The Philippine All Stars; singer Erik Santos; Cebu Chamber Singers; and Miles, the Asia’s Ambassador of Country Music.

Representatives

This will be a unique opportunity for Cebuanos to meet the representatives of various Embassy sections, including the Visa Section, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the US Commercial Service, the United States Agency for International Development, the Foreign Agricultural Service, Peace Corps and the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (Fulbright Commission).

Ambassador Thomas and the other Embassy representatives will be available to answer questions throughout the program.

The three-day extravaganza is presented by the US Embassy in Manila, in partnership with the Accenture, Lexmark, McDonald’s, SM City Cebu, Radisson Blu Hotel, and El Cielito Hotels.
