While Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto consider each other “special,” the two singers insisted that they’re not yet a couple, saying that they would rather take things slow for now.
“We know what we have and are very comfortable with each other’s company. I’m not in a rush and I don’t want to preempt anything,” Angeline said during a press conference for her and Erik’s concert titled “KQ at the Araneta Coliseum” on Aug. 15.

MANILA, Philippines – With more than 70 movie and teleserye theme songs to their credits and with them coming from ABS-CBN backed-singing contests who are now popular belters, it is safe to say that singers Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto are a match made in heaven.
Or in its grand earthly equivalent, one made for the history-rich Smart Araneta Coliseum where they are scheduled to perform together next month.

Two of this generation’s highly recognized and established singers come as one in a dream concert that promises to deliver the goods.
Erik Santos and Angeline-Quinto, their shining stars intertwined by virtue of their stellar record as familiar voices to local movie and teleserye theme songs, are joining hands as featured acts in an anticipated major concert on Aug. 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The show, produced by Cornerstone Concerts and simply billed Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto at the Araneta Coliseum is expected to provide a kind of stage spectacle rarely seen by concertgoers. It is also far from being just a simple set but promises to be grand for its “talked about concept” – three concerts, two musical royalties, one night.
Both Erik and Angeline are crowned as this generation’s “King and Queen of Theme Songs,” respectively, with Erik having sung 37 themes to his high-valued name while Angeline scoring 35 so far in her steadily moving music career for teleseryes and films. The numbers are mind-boggling, the effect to music fans, encompassing.

IT was a night of soulful pop and well-loved ballads on Nov. 9 at the PICC Plenary Hall as the country’s one and only Prince of Pop Erik Santos was featured in InTENSe: A Decade With The Prince Of Pop.
Cornerstone Concerts in celebration of Erik’s 10 years in the business produced InTENse and Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan directed it.

OPM master Homer Flores was the musical director.
Erik gathered his supporters to personally thank them and humbly look back at all of his achievements via three-hour jam-packed concert. Prior to his numerous chart-toppers, Erik was of course expected to deliver his teleserye and movie heartfelt tracks like “Maging Sino Ka Man,” “May Bukas Pa,” “Diyos Ng Pag-ibig,” and “Muling Buksan Ang Puso.” Erik also performed “I Miss You Like Crazy,” “Now That I Have You,” and “I’ll Never Go” (from the movie One More Chance), themes from John Lloyd and Bea’s certified blockbuster films.

For his recent 10th anniversary concert, “inTENse,” at the Philippine International Convention Center’s Plenary Hall, Erik Santos tried something he wouldn’t normally do—dance. As he moved, if awkwardly, to disco tunes and such novelty songs as “Macarena” and “Whoops Kirri,” it was clear that Erik was enjoying himself, soaking in the moment.
After a performance of Ne-Yo’s “Let Me Love You” and Usher’s “Scream,” Erik told his well-heeled audience, in Filipino, “That simple dance took me half a month to perfect!”
It was refreshing to watch Erik do those upbeat numbers, but it was still those powerful, slow-burning ballads that left the crowd clamoring for more. The 31-year-old artist was especially impressive in a string of classic Filipino love songs used as themes in ABS-CBN teleseryes.
