Powerful ballads, remarkable originals, strong vocals, heartfelt renditions and a true Pop icon, Erik Santos has smoothly taken us on a journey through a decade of good music and by remaining as one of the industry’s most conspicuous artists and celebrated OPM phenomenon.

Erik  sings “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight” on the fourth part of our Erik Santos in Concert series, a lookback at a decade of concerts by the Prince of Pop. He sang this England Dan & John Ford Coley hit during the ESFO-produced Birthday concert “Still” in 2006. Enjoy and don’t forget to get your tickets for one inTENse night at the PICC on November 9!

It is almost unbelievable that a whole decade has passed from when Sarah Geronimo was just a timid contestant in Star for a Night and Erik Santos was fighting as a wildcard entry in Star in a Million. Ten years forward and now they are headlining their own 10th Anniversary concerts.

MANILA, Philippines — Weeks before the Valentine concert season starts, Star Records’ top draws Erik Santos, Yeng Constantino, and Juris Fernandez already set the bar high with the show they held at the Glorietta Activity Center last Jan. 15.

Fans came in full force and they were treated to live renditions of their idols’ most recent hits including “Kulang Ako Kung Wala ka” by Erik, “Lapit” by Yeng, and “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” by Juris. Also at the event were Bugoy Drilon who performed “Nang Dahil Sa Pag-ibig,” Jovit Baldivino who essayed “Mula Sa Puso,” and Liezel Garcia who offered “Gisingin Ang Puso.”

Bulletin Entertainment caught up with Yeng, Erik and Juris backstage where we learned about their plans for 2012. Juris has just wrapped up recording an album set for release in Singapore while Erik is finalizing plans for a tour as well as a new album. Yeng, who had just released a live album, is thinking of releasing a techno-tinged album next.
